A Message to Fellow Engineers

Dear Fellow Engineers,

Assalamu Alaikum and warm greetings.

It is with sincere respect and a strong sense of responsibility that I present my candidacy for Vice Chairman (ERC) of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh.

As an academic and IT professional, I have spent more than 15 years contributing to engineering education, research, consultancy, project management, and professional engagement in Bangladesh and internationally.

I believe IEB should be a platform where every engineer—regardless of discipline, professional sector, or career stage—feels respected, heard, and connected.

My commitment is to encourage professional development, promote knowledge sharing, strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, and support meaningful participation by young engineers.

I value the experience of senior professionals and the creativity and innovation of the next generation. Through mutual respect, transparency, and collective effort, we can contribute to a more inclusive and professionally empowered engineering community.

I welcome your suggestions, ideas, and constructive feedback as we work together for the shared interests of our profession.

With sincere regards,

Engr. Mohammed Arif Hasan Chowdhury
